Capital Matchmaker Event

On January 21st Entrenuity hosted the Mox.E Capital Matchmaker Event–a bi-annual event that identifies high-growth businesses founded by Black, LatinX and Women entrepreneurs. This event was particularly exciting because we ran the virtual production from inside the new Mox.E Coworking space.

Capital Matchmaker includes a thorough application and vetting process to identify founders to participate in our program and pitch event. The 2021 winter program participants were JSleeveCyber PopUp, and ConnectCareHero. All three are in the early stages of business but have already launched and are revenue-positive. For weeks we met with them and worked on their business models, pitch decks, presentations, and strategies for development and growth. Each of the organizations worked hard and delivered fantastic presentations!

After much deliberation, judges awarded 1st Prize to Cyber PopUp led by Christine Izuakor.

Check out the Mox.E Coworking video that highlights the historic and ongoing need in Chicago for investing in diverse founders and how Entrenuity and the Mox.E Capital Matchmaker program provides the space and connections to make those investments happen.
