With nearly a decade of experience in corporate finance and accounting at powerhouse companies like Amazon, McDonald's, and Archer Daniels Midland, Shavon built her career simplifying complexity, driving process improvement, and aligning financial strategy with business goals. But in 2023, she felt called to build something of her own—something rooted in both passion and purpose.
That calling led to the birth of Fleurish Chicago, a luxury floral design studio and event service company where Shavon now serves as Founder and CEO. Fleurish specializes in creating vibrant, story-driven floral experiences for corporate activations, brand events, hospitality venues, and private celebrations. From custom arrangements to full-service floral styling, every design is an invitation to pause, connect, and feel.
In just one year, Fleurish Chicago has made its mark—landing three major contracts with Higher Heights for America PAC, delivering floral design for high-profile events during the 2024 DNC! Last year, the business generated over $21,000 in sales—all while Shavon managed every detail as a solo founder
Today, Shavon continues to balance beauty and business while charting the next phase of Fleurish Chicago. As part of the Entrenuity Accelerator Cohort, she combines corporate expertise with creative vision, focusing on scaling her company through stronger systems, investment opportunities, and team growth.
This October, Fleurish will celebrate the opening of its first storefront at 752 E. 43rd Street in Bronzeville, bringing everyday luxury in the form of fresh flowers to the neighborhood. More than just a retail space, the shop is designed to be a gathering place for the community, a studio for creativity, and a resource for other florists. With the support of the accelerator’s tools, mentorship, and community, Shavon is shifting from day-to-day hustle to long-term, intentional growth.
